John & Virginia, owner-operators of Orofino Vineyards, have over 20 years of experience with making wines in the Similkameen and have made wine from all of the distinct and unique micro-terroirs throughout the valley. They have an intimate relationship with each of their distinct subregions here in the Valley - from the hot, hot heat of the bench vineyards, to the heavy-soiled bottomland sites, to the coolness of the high elevation Olalla Gap. This knowledge helps them craft wines that celebrate these extraordinary vineyards. Exploration of the valley and creating wines of place have been the heartbeat of Orofino from the beginning.
