Types of Wines

Syrah
Viognier

Marichel Vineyard operates as a unified whole, where both the vineyard and winery are integrated into a single process.

Owners Richard and Elisabeth Roskell built and planted the vineyard themselves and view grape-growing and winemaking as different stages of the same process.

Richard personally tends to every vine throughout the seasons, and the winery is situated where the vine rows end, allowing for rapid harvest and processing.

The Roskells believe that high-quality wines begin in the vineyard.

They use top-of-the-line winemaking equipment and modern techniques to bring out the best in what nature provides, focusing solely on Syrah and Viognier varieties.

Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, small double-walled fermenters, or French oak puncheons, with Syrah aging in French oak barrels or puncheons for up to two years.

Guests are warmly welcomed in the cozy tasting room, offering a breathtaking view of Okanagan Lake, where they can relax and enjoy the wines.
