St Hubertus & Oak Bay Estate Winery
Types of Wines
St Hubertus & Oak Bay Estate Winery, boasting a rich history dating back to 1928, holds a special place as one of the oldest vineyards in the scenic Okanagan Valley.
Initially planted by J.W. Hughes during a time when fertile agricultural land was abundant, these vineyards have stood the test of time and become a true symbol of the region’s winemaking heritage.
The Gebert family, hailing from Switzerland, established the winery in 1984.
Since then, they have embraced sustainable farming practices across their 76-acre vineyard, with a transitional organic certification under the PACS “Canadian Organic Standards” since 2017.
In 1991, the Gebert brothers made a pivotal decision to shift gears and produce their own wines. Today, the winery proudly crafts an average of 14,000 cases of wine annually..
Staying true to the traditions of an estate winery, every step of the winemaking process, from grape to bottle, takes place on-site, ensuring the utmost care and quality in each wine produced.
With a commitment to sustainability, a deep respect for the land, and a passion for crafting exceptional wines, the Gebert family has created an experience that captures the very essence of the Okanagan Valley.
Embark on a journey and taste the fruits of their labor, where tradition, family values, and remarkable wines intertwine in every sip.
